Chapter 9 is the oldest Chapter in Oregon and it's primary area of influence is the area from the Pacific coast on the west to the Idaho border on the east and Canyonville on the south to Salem on the north, centering on Douglas County.
Chapter 9 was responsible for the founding of Timber Valley SKP Park of Oregon in Sutherlin, OR in 1989. Untold hours of sweat equity by many members of this chapter actually built the park, an amazing feat appreciated by all who live or visit there. Many of our Chapter 9 members claim Timber Valley as "home" but we are pleased and proud to have members from other areas as well.

Chapter 9 sponsors a SKP get-together with breakfast held at 9 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Abby's Legendary Pizza located at 1011 West Central Avenue in Sutherlin, Oregon. Travelers are always welcome. From I-5 take Exit 36 and head East for several blocks. Abby's will be on the left, across from Goodwill. All are invited.
The first of our three rallies for the year was held on the beautiful Oregon Coast at Florence OR, May 16th to 20th at the Odd Fellows Campground. We enjoyed a great time highlighted by a delicious fresh salmon barbecue and events connected with the annual Florence Rhododendron Festival.
Plans are made for our June rally, which will be held at Timber Valley SKP Park of Oregon, 800 S State Street in Sutherlin, OR. We are hoping for good participation by Residents of Timber Valley as well as visiting SKP's from all over. TUESDAY, JUNE 18th
10 a.m. - Noon---- Registration in the Timber Valley Clubhouse
Noon-------------Lunch: Hot Dogs & Chips
3 p.m.------------Friendship Hour, 10-20-30 drawing (tickets $1 ea. or six for $5)
5 p.m.------------Dinner on your own or join the group for Mexican at Si Casa Flores, 330 Dakota St., Sutherlin (sign up)
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19th
9 a.m.------------Continental Breakfast
11 a.m.-----------Games: Snoopy's Meadow-Bocci Ball, Ladder Golf, Bean Bag Baseball, Ring Toss
2 p.m.------------Picnic: Snoopy's Meadow--Burgers, etc. provided by the chapter, bring potluck salads and desserts. Also remember to bring your own table service, chairs and beverage. Stay and visit after picnic, maybe more games, or just enjoy the day with friends.
THURSDAY, JUNE 20th
9 a.m.------------ Breakfast: Biscuits & Gravy, Fruit (provided by the chapter)
Be sure to bring your own table service. Coffee & Juice will be provided.
Business Meeting immediately after breakfast.
Noon-------------Lunch on your own.
3 p.m.------------Friendship Hour, 10-20-30 drawing (tickets $1 ea. or six for $5)
5 p.m.------------Potluck dinner at Clubhouse. Bring dish to share, table service & serving utensils.
Following dinner---Silent Auction: Bring your items throughout the rally to table provided. You may do your silent bidding up until auction begins. Hugs & Goodbye after.

Rally fee for all Chapter 9 rallies is just $5 per person and membership in the chapter is $5 per Escapee membership number per year.
