Here are frequently asked questions about the Escapees commercial membership:

1. What benefits do I receive as a commercial member?
The purpose of the commercial membership (CM) is to promote a partnership between the members and business providers. 

To publicize your business and help members to find you, a special CM directory is located at www.escapees.com.  This site receives 2.4 million hits a month!  Be one of the businesses attracting shoppers with your listing!

The annual Escapees Travel Guide has a CM directory section--again making it easy for members to find you.  The annual directory is mailed to every Escapees family in January.  You will be listed by company name and business category in the CM directory and by state/city in the discount parks section.   Being in both sections makes it easier for members to find your listing.

2. Are there any other benefits?

You receive one category (and location) listing with your commercial membership, and you can add additional business categories and/or locations for just a $10 annual fee for each.  We have picked over 120 general category listings such as RV dealer, RV service and repair, diesel service and maintenance, towing accessories, etc. (The additional $10 annual fee for each additional category will cover both the Internet site and published directory listing.)

Commercial members may increase their customer exposure by adding an enhanced (hyper) link to their Web page.  There is a $150 annual fee and is only available to commercial members. New in 2008, CMs with the enhanced link option will also receive an extra line of type— another 70 characters and spaces—for additional company, product, or service information!

The Website,www.escapees.com, is accessible to all RVers, members and visitors alike, and receives over two million hits a month.  

Commercial members receive extra Escapade benefits!  First, you may register to set up your booth a day early—on Friday morning instead of Saturday--giving you an extra day to set up your booth.  Second, you are invited to sign up to give a 30-minute presentation in the Vendor Information Program (VIP) (Info-Mercial)—dedicated to totally commercial seminars.  You are welcome to compare, contrast, and mention prices.  These new Escapade benefits are reserved for commercial members.

3. Anything more?

Yes, we will send you a complimentary one-year subscription (6 issues) to Escapees magazine if you check the box on the application form.  If you are not familiar with the Escapees RV Club, the magazine will introduce you to our extensive array of benefits. We limit advertising to approximately 30 percent of magazine space, which is one reason we are providing the commercial membership program to aid businesses desiring access to this proven RVing market.

4. When will I be listed on the Internet page and in the Escapees Travel Guide?

The Internet listing will be placed as soon as your application is processed and your new commercial number is issued.  You will be included in the next Escapees Travel Guide (for 2011), and if you join prior to May 1, 2010, you will be listed in the next directory supplement that is sent to all members with the July/Aug Escapees magazine.

5. I noticed that Escapees RV Club owns some campgrounds and publishes the Escapees Travel Guide.  As a commercial member, do I get the member rates?

Commercial memberships are issued in the company’s name, not in a personal name; therefore, commercial members will be charged nonmember rates at the campgrounds.

The good news: The Escapees RV Club is open to anyone interested in RVing.  You may choose to join as a commercial member and add a personal membership to obtain all the benefits of a personal membership such as below-market camping fees.  The Escapees RV Club welcomes everyone, from the armchair traveler to the full-timer!  Each membership has its own class of benefits!  Choose which membership benefits you best!

6. What does this cost?

Gain nationwide exposure for your business for $3.25 a month!  Yes, only $39 a year, plus a one-time $10 enrollment fee!  No hidden costs—$39 a year.  You will be listed on the Internet site that receives over two million hits a month and in the Escapees Travel Guide mailed to 37,000 families!

Plus, you may request a one-year complimentary magazine subscription with your membership!  Many members think the magazine is worth more than that!

You may choose to add additional listings with a $10 annual fee and an enhanced link/second line of text at $150 per year, but neither is required.  Just $39 plus $10 enrollment fee!
