Parking
The original mission of the Escapees park system was to provide safe, affordable
parking options for traveling Escapees. Today, there are two distinctly
different kinds of Escapees parks for Escapees to enjoy; the nonprofit SKP Co-Op
Parks and Rainbow Parks.
Discount Parks
Nearly 1,000 commercial RV parks have become Escapees Discount Park members.
These commercial parks are listed in your Escapees Travel Guide and offer
Escapees members a minimum 15-percent discount on their overnight stays. Over
100 offer a 50% discount! Just show participating parks your Escapees membership
card, and start saving money today! A sample of the parks in our program can be
found
here.
Rainbow Parks
There are eight Rainbow Parks in seven states.
Non-members welcome!
As a brief stopover, full
hook-ups are available at all parks. A number of our parks offer Wi-Fi to enable
your connectivity to the Internet. All Rainbow Parks have a modem connection for
traveling members to use to keep up with e-mail. Clean showers, laundry
facilities, social hour get-togethers, ice cream socials, cards, games, and
often catered meals are part of the Rainbow Parks experience for traveling SKPs.
As your destination, our
parks are a great place to stay while you venture out to amusement parks, music
festivals, museums, and the many other attractions within an hour's drive of a
Rainbow Park. While you are in a Rainbow Park, there're happy hour and social
events to enjoy with other Escapees. Use of the clubhouse, campground, and
recreational facilities are benefits of your Escapees RV Club membership. At
Rainbow Parks, you are always welcome. Parks in popular tourist areas will most
likely have limited space available during busy seasons. To make it fair to
everyone during these peak periods, Rainbow Parks may sometimes implement a
first-in, first-out rule.
As your home base, home-base
parking options are available at five Rainbow Parks. All Rainbow Parks offer
weekly and monthly leases. The 5-year ERPU leases are available at Rainbow's End, Dream
Catcher, Rainbow Plantation, and Sumter Oaks. Rainbow's End, North Ranch, and
Rainbow Plantation also have private deeded lots available for purchase by
Escapees members. Lots are bought and sold by individuals. Escapees RV Club has
no involvement in deeded lot sales.

Nonprofit SKP Co-Ops
There are 11 SKP Co-Op parks from Washington State to south Florida. Each SKP Co-Op Park is a
separate and independent nonprofit corporation. Only Escapees members may
purchase an SKP Co-Op membership (when one is available), and that membership
entitles them to use a specified lot until they die or sell the membership back
to the corporation.
Availability of rental
spaces at SKP Co-Ops depends on members putting their lots into a rental pool
while they travel. During a popular season, there may be few spaces for rent.
Call in advance to check the availability of both rental and dry-camp sites.
Check Escapees magazine for an up-to-date list of events and activities around
SKP Co-Op parks.
