Boomer BOF

Escapees BOF (Birds of a Feather) groups are comprised of people who share a common interest. In order to belong to a BOF, one must be a member in good standing of the Escapees RV Club.

With our unstructured BOF much impromptu activity occurs. If, for instance, folks want to see a particular activity happen they simply coordinate it with, or for, the group and then DO IT! Our rallys, Boomerangs, vary from a few attendees to 100's of participants. Boomerangs are wonderful opportunities to learn, share and just socialize. We enjoy hiking, beading, biking, reading, 4-wheel drives, or just sitting around the campfire talking about solar panels, satellite internet or the latest techno gizmo.

A monthly 10 page Newsletter (color eNL is downloadable), Bulletin Boards, the annual 30 page Membership Roster all contribute to staying informed and provide information to meet new friends with similar interests. We are currently in the process of consoldating and expanding this information into our website at www.skpboomers.com. At the website members may schedule events, upload travel information and photos, post blogs, download both eNLs and our new electronic Directory (MAD), edit their personal information and renew using PayPal. If that's not enough, we do have several recurring Boomerangs. The largest, our Quartzsite Boomerang, occurs during the last 2 weeks of January but even 'planned' events require members get involved. A Host announces the date and location and brings the whiteboard. The attendees then fill the whiteboard with activities, events, trips and meetings that they offer to lead. BTW, the whiteboard is always too small............and did I mention our potlucks?
