Winona MN Rally June 21-24,2010

Judy and Wes Hendrickson will be hosting a Chap. 12 rally in Winona June 21-24 at Prairie Island Campground.

It would be terrific if others would come forth to host one or two more rallies.

We will be holding elections for Pres. Treas., Sec. at our June rally. The current officers have been in position for 4 years. These are normally two year terms. We need new blood. New Ulm MN Rally:August 23-26,2010

Lowell and Gwen Larson will be hosting a Chapter 12 Rally at New Ulm in August. Here are the pertinent details:

Arrive Monday, August 23, Leaving Thursday morning, August 26.

RV Park one mile north of New Ulm on Highway 15 (just north of US 14). Be alert, their sign is small. This park, Oak Haven Campground, does not advertise in any RV campground guides so we didn't know it existed. They specialize in group camping, have a reception hall with kitchen that can accommodate 80 people, have 30 amp electric at each site, fire rings, and picnic tables.

The cost is $20 per night.

Here are the details on the Oak Haven Campground: Rally scheduled 3 nights, Monday August 23 through Wednesday August 25, departing on Thursday AM, August 26.

There is no water hookup at sites but there is water available if you need to fill. We suggest you arrive with full fresh water tank.

There is a dump site available.

The grounds and sites are level and well kept.

As indicated in our Chapter 12 Newsletter, the excellent Schells Hobo Band will be performing at a free Concert in German Park Monday night, August 23, from 7:00 to 8:30. Don't miss it.

There will also be a tour of the Schells Brewery, the second oldest brewery in the US

Tuesday night dinner at the famous Kaiserhoff Restaurant

We'll probably have a potluck Wednesday night preceded by the business meeting.

A guided bus tour of the city if we have enough people to make it reasonably affordable.

Be prepared to have fun. New Ulm is a great town.
