Chapter 13 - El Camino

Garry Garrison hosted a chapter formation rally in October 1985 at the fairgrounds in Hemet, with 62 families attending. The actual organization was in December, at which time it was named El Camino chapter, with California as the designated area. This chapter was formed for the purpose of building a SKP Co-Op in Southern California. After many pieces of property were considered and rejected, the current property in Aguanga was purchased in November 1989 and was named Jojoba Hills. Work was started and after many restrictions by Riverside County, lots were picked in June, 1996 and Jojoba Hills was officially opened. El Camino Chapter #13 dues are $5/year. The newsletter is called Mission Trails News. The first elected officers were: Garry Garrison - President, Bill Flynn - Vice President, Louise Headlee - Secretary and Ray Vigeant - Treasurer. Today El Camino Chapter #13 has two rallies a year, usually in February and October, and also meets at Escapades. There are monthly luncheons in several locations.

There are no plans to hold rallies in May at this time.

THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE FROM NANCY MADIGAN CHANGES THE CERRITOS LUNCHEON TO HUNTINGTON BEACH:

The El Camino Chapter 13 of the Escapees RV Club would like you to join us for lunch at our new location which we hope will be convenient for more of our local members. We will be meeting at Cocos Restaurant located at 6886 Bolsa Ave, Huntington Beach still on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. It is just south of the 405 freeway, off at Golden West, south one block, just behind the Westminster Mall in case you need to do any shopping afterwards.

We hope you can meet with us for some friendly chatter and RV stories.

It will not appear in the Escapees Magazine until the May/June issue so if you know of anyone who is traveling and wanting to attend our luncheon please give them the new information.
