Ontario is a vast province in the center of Canada. Toronto, the capital of the Province has world class cultural activities, fine dining, good shopping and recreation. Toronto is home to baseball's Toronto Blue Jays, basketball's Raptors and hockey's Toronto Maple Leafs.

Membership: $10 for two years for Escapee members, which includes a subscription to the Nickle Beaver (Chapter 18 newsletter). Membership renewals are due on July 1st and can also be paid at the Spring Rally. Please send dues to the Treasurer: Don Mitchell, 6 Oriole Dr., Gloucester, ON, K1J 7E9.

Gather at the restaurant at 12:00 noon, buffet luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Directions: The restaurant is not far from the 401. From the 401, go north on Wellington St, then right turn on to Dearness Dr (across from the Canadian Tire store in White Oaks Mall), then very soon turn right under the Manchuria Garden arch. The restaurant is upstairs. Sorry, no elevator.

Directions to Tuckers Market Place: From the Queen Elizabeth Way, go south-east on Guelph Line to the first stoplight (Harvester Road) then next left onto South Service Road to the restaurant. Northern Ontario:

Peta Arends will be hosting the luncheons in Barrie at 12:30 p.m. at the Market Buffet and Grill Restaurant, 141 Mapleview Drive West, Barrie, ON. Take the Molson Drive exit from Hwy. 400 and drive west approximately 1 km.

Chapter 18 Fall 2010 Rally

DATE: September 7-10, 2010

PLACE: Shelter Valley Campground, Clinton, ON, 8 km. east of Goderich.
Although Shelter Valley has nearly 175 sites, all but 30 are held by seasonal campers. These 30 sites are blocked off for us to use. But, that means that it will be first come, first served for the available sites. The cost per site is $25.00 per night, and they would like to know the size of your RV when you book your site. Call early.

DIRECTIONS:

From the junction of Highways 21 and 8, drive east 8.3 km on Highway 8. From Highway 401, exit at Kitchener to Highway 8, follow 8 through Stratford. Campground is 12 km west of Clinton or 8 km east of Goderich, on Highway 8.

ACTIVITIES:

A potluck is scheduled for Tuesday, and dinner at the Park House Restaurant on Thursday. It is close to the harbour with a boardwalk. Golfing is also available in the area. Please bring door prizes for a draw.

Escapees Chapter 15 planned and held a very successful Multi-Chapter Rally. This Rally took place in Marion, NC, April 29 to May 3, 2010.
