Rocky Mountain High Chapter # 2

After several years of inactivity the state of Colorado has an active chapter, Colorado Rocky Mountain High. We have had two successful rallies in 2009 - one in June at KOA Colorado City and the other rally in September in South Fork.

We have a good mix of full time and part time rvers. We enjoy great potlucks, brown bag exchanges and sing-a-longs around the camp fire.

It was agreed at the business meeting in September to have at least two rallies per year with the desire to cover all areas of the state as weather permits - where snow has melted in the Spring and where snow hasn't yet started in the Fall.

Our business year is set from June to May. We signed up 16 new members at the June rally and 11 more members at the September 2009 rally.

We enthusiastically want to get the word out that this chapter is seeking new members, so we'd appreciate your help in passing the word around to all Colorado Escapee members and rv friends you know that the Colorado Chapter#2 is alive and kicking and accepting new members. Our next Escapees Colorado Chapter 2 rally will take place in the scenic mountain community of Montrose Colorado. Let's all join together for a few days of fun in the beautiful Colorado mountains. It will be only a short drive to the Black Canyon National Park and Grand Mesa National Forest to see some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state. The area offers an abundance of shopping, museums, summer theater, wine tasting and challenging golf courses. There will be something for everyone, so plan to attend for four days and three nights of interesting workshops, good food, fun and socializing with new and old friends.

We'll have a movie night, and a brown bag auction, so don't forget the white elephant items. Also, there may be another karaoke night!
