SHANTY SHAKERS, Chapter 25

CHAPTER 25 IS LOCATED IN AND AROUND SAN DIEGO CAIFORNIA. MOST OF OUR RALLIES ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE OCEAN, MOUNTAINS, OR DESERT.

The Shanty Shakers (Chapter 25) was founded on August 24th 1989 with 43 members. The name Shanty Shakers was the idea of our first President, Bill Hitt, who had been a commercial truck driver for many years hauling mobile homes. The truckers call these rigs "shanty shakers".

The Shanty Shakers meet on the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:00AM at the Denny's Restaurant at the intersection of Navajo Road and Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon, CA.

The remaining 2008 scheduled meetings are: October 25, November 22, December 27.

Nov 20-23 (Thurs-Sun) Yuma Balloon Festival - A sign up sheet was passed around by David Joos for this event. More details will follow.

December 2008 LAWRENCE WELK CHRISTMAS PROGRAM RALLY at the Vista Elks Club. The schduled program is "Plaid Tidings". Hosts are Betty & Clark Paxton, Garth & Judy Carle, and Bill & Frances Surbrook
