SPRING
RALLY -MARCH 31-APRIL 4, 2008
FARR
EQUESTRIAN CENTER, BATON ROUGE, LA
The
Farr Park Campground is an ideal place to stay when in town for an LSU game. It
is located only two miles from the campus --and six miles from the downtown
Baton Rouge attractions --yet campers can enjoy a quiet, country environment.
The campground is adjacent to the Mississippi River, located on historic River
Road. It is easily accessible from Interstate 10. The campground has more
than 180 sites (many pull-throughs) and is equipped with water and power
hookups, restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. BREC is excited to announce
that Baton Rouge's City Bus Service will be running shuttles from the
campgrounds to LSU's football stadium for every home game!
Since
Farr Park is also home to a fine
equestrian facility, campers can often see a wide variety of equestrian events.
Visitors will see rodeos, ropings or horse shows on most weekends. Attractions
convenient to the facility include: Magnolia Mound, Bluebonnet Swamp, BREC's
Baton Rouge Zoo, the State Capitol, the Governor's Mansion and the U.S.S. Kidd,
among others.
Directions:
Will be detailed in the February newsletter. Rates: RV Campsites: $12.00 per
day;
