Welcome to the Escapees Chapter 45 - Valley of the Sun - Phoenix Arizona area web page. We hope you can drop in to one of our rallies or luncheons. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A CHAPTER MEMBER TO ATTEND ANY OF OUR FUNCTIONS.

Join us for lunch on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 11:30am beginning on the first Weds of Nov. and continuing through March. We have our luncheons at the Roadhaven RV Resort, 1000 S. Idaho Rd. Directions: From Hwy 60 take exit 196, go north one mile to the resort on your left. Enter the gate and follow golf cart signs on asphalt to the restaurant. Ed & Alice Allard are our hosts. Continue to collect pull-tabs from aluminum cans. We collect them for the Ronald McDonald House. Bring them to the luncheon.

Our Spring Rally will be held at Usery Mountain Park in Phoenix. We are co-hosting with Chapter 32. Group areas A & B have been reserved for March 9th arriving between 12 and 3 and departing on March 14th, 2010. Hosts from Chapter 45 are Bob and Nancy Moritz and Tom and Dee Winters. The rates are $15.00 per day, water and electric are available in the public area but they do not take reservations. You can call the park at 480-984-0032 to check availability. For those of you that want to day trip, there is a $6.00 per day fee for entrance to the park. Rally fee is $7.50 per person.On Tues plan on heavy munchies for Tues evening (your dinner??) There will be one breakfast potluck and one evening potluck. There will be a CARE auction on Saturday evening so bring one nice item to donate. We are attending Barleens AZ Opry dinner and show on 3/11 and a possible trip to Queen Creek Olive Mill on Thursday afternoon, evening campfires and games.More information will come as plans are firmed but for now, mark it on your calendars.
