Boot Camp at Escapade

     May 22 – 24, 2009

Friday, May 22

8:00 am - 2:00 pm                Arrive / Park / Register

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm                RV Basic Systems Elective course for new RVers. 

2:45 pm - 3:00 pm                Welcome Ceremony

3:00 pm – 4:15 pm               RV Driving Tips and Techniques

4:30 pm - 6:00 pm                RV Driving Demonstration

Friday notes: Please plan to get a bite to eat before the welcome ceremony begins. Once we kick off the program, you probably won’t get a chance to eat dinner until 6:30 pm or later. Also, please plan for your own meals on Friday, as there will probably be no food vendors set up at the fairgrounds.

Saturday, May 23

7:30 am - 8:30 am                Coffee and doughnuts

8:30 am - 10:00 am              RV Systems Part 1

10:15 am - 11:45 am            RV Systems part 2

11:45 am - 1:00 pm              Lunch (on your own)

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm                RVSEF Radial Tire Safety

2:45 pm - 5:00 pm                Fire and Life Safety

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm                Social Hour (Location TBA)  Bring your own                                                                              drinks/snacks

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm                Dinner and entertainment with instructors and staff

Saturday notes:  Dinner will be provided for all Boot Camp participants. Lunch is “on your own”.  The Fire and Life Safety seminar may run a bit long, but you’ll really enjoy the live fire demonstrations!

Sunday, May 24

7:30 am - 8:30 am                Coffee and doughnuts

8:30 am - 10:00 am              RVSEF Weight Safety

10:15 am - 11:30 am            RV Hitch-up tips

11:45 am – 12:45 pm           Panel of Experts with all instructors / Graduation

Sunday notes:  All Boot Camp graduates will receive a graduate badge hanger at the graduation ceremony. If you are planning to stay for Escapade you will be free until the Escapade starts on Sunday afternoon. If you are not registered for Escapade, you must vacate the campground by 2:00 PM.  Whenever you leave, travel safe and have fun wherever you may roam!
