Entertainment and Fun All Week Long!
After opening ceremony on Sunday, the fabulous Johnny Counterfit will kick off the event with a delightful array of impersonations from Frank Sinatra to Vince Gill. Johnny was selected as a top comedian of the year by Music City News, and we know why. He does more than 25 voice-character impressions in a clean concert format. If you have never seen him and his band, be ready for the perfect kickoff to a week full of fun!
After classes are over, there will be daily socials (which Escapees lightheartedly refer to as "happy hour") each day, where attendees may see themselves or their friends on the big screen! That's right, photographers will be roaming the grounds looking for those perfect shots and then producers Greg and Angie Carr will be putting the best photos together for daily slide shows for all to enjoy. Happy hour will also be the place where you will get all the up-to-date announcements, win fabulous door prizes, and get to know your classmates a little better too! The general assembly room will be set up banquet-style so that visiting with your neighbor will be part of the fun.
Later in the evening, after you've had an opportunity to relax over dinner, attendees are invited back to partake in bingo, discussion groups, night classes, or casual games with friends or new acquaintances.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Mike and Terri Church will offer slide shows featuring RV travel in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, southern BC), the Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico and southern Utah) and Alaska!
Thursday afternoon, everyone is invited to a special fare-thee-well picnic where grilled hotdogs will be served with all the trimmings, followed by music and dancing! It will be the perfect opportunity to exchange information and say "fare-thee-well" to all your new friends, before you depart for new adventures in the morning.
