On the South Pacific HOP, you will be sailing on the beautiful Holland American
ship, Statendam, across the
International Date Line, the Equator, around the Christmas Islands, French
Polynesia, Hawaii, and back to San Diego. This 28-day cruise has spectacular,
diverse, and exciting destinations for your enjoyment.
The ship will provide activities, entertainment, and incredible food. You will
also want to sign up for land excursions while the ship is docked at the
ports-of-call.

America. There is very important information on documents you may need for
travel, what kind of clothing you may need to pack, suggested tipping
information, and more. Please review this information carefully. If your questions are not answered in

Passports
Please remember to have your passports current.
Even if there are only six months left on your passport, you may be
denied entry into a country. The
travel industry is warning us that sometimes it can take up to three months to
renew or apply for your passport.
Parking at Rainbow’s End
RV parking will be available at Rainbow's End in Livingston, Texas, for
people flying out of Houston. Special event pricing will be $5.00 per day for
dry-camp and $10.00 for full-hookup sites. You are welcome to arrive early or
stay after the HOP. Parking is $13.50 – $15.50 for members, and $27.00 – $31.00
for nonmembers, per day, full-hookup sites. No pets may be left in rigs. Make
your HOP and RV reservations by calling the HOP Department at 888-757-2582 or
936-327-8873. Payment for the HOP will be made at the time of registration.
Payment for the RV site will be made at Rainbow’s End upon arrival.

The following businesses in Livingston have kennel boarding available. You will need to call them to make
arrangements for your pets. The
Escapees RV Club does not in any way endorse or recommend these services. We are
just providing names and numbers for those who may need pet services.

Golden Acorn Casino parking
You can park your RV at the Golden Acorn Casino at 1600 Golden Acorn Way in
Campo, CA, for free. It will be boondock camping only, and some security is
provided. You can arrive early and/or stay late. If you plan on parking there,
you must register with Kim at 888-757-2582 or 936-327-8873. The casino needs to
know how many are parking there before anyone arrives.
Bus from Acorn Casino to San Diego
Pier
A bus will be taking those interested from the Golden Acorn Casino to the San
Diego Pier and back if we get enough people to make it cost effective. If you’d
like to sign up, please call 888-757-2582 or 936-327-8873.
San Diego
Parking is available near the San Diego pier; however, there is no parking for
RVs for the length of our cruise. RV parking is available for seven days
maximum. For more information about parking your vehicle in San Diego, please
refer to http://www.portofsandiego.org,
and there is a list of parking lots, prices, locations, and phone numbers. Most
of these parking lots do not take reservations.
Directions Golden Acorn Casino
From the San Diego area, take I-8 east to Crestwood Exit.
From the El Centro area, take I-8 west to Crestwood Exit.
San Diego Pier:
Driving south on Interstate 5: Take I-5 into downtown San Diego. Exit
Sassafras (airport exit). Proceed straight on exit road, which turns into
Kettner, until Laurel. Turn right on Laurel and proceed west to Harbor Drive.
Make a left on Harbor Drive. The cruise ship terminal is approximately one-half
mile on the right. Drop your passengers and luggage off, and then park your
vehicle in your chosen parking lot.
Driving north on Interstate 5: Take I-5 into downtown San Diego. Exit
Hawthorn (airport exit). Hawthorn steers west toward the San Diego Bay
waterfront and Harbor Drive. At Harbor Drive, make a left. The cruise ship
terminal is approximately one-half mile on the right. Drop your passengers and
luggage off, and then park your vehicle in your chosen parking lot.

Physical Needs for HOP
Escapees Inc. will attempt to provide reasonable accommodations for disabled
