Branson Holiday HOP Recap

November 28-December 3, 2007

Branson, Missouri

Christmas lights, shows, Turkey Creek RV Village, Silver Dollar City, meals, door prizes, and great buses and drivers. All these things and, of course, the greatest group of 70 Escapees made this HOP one of the most enjoyable events ever. Branson, MO, is truly a special place to spend a holiday. Some of the greatest entertainers in the world play at Branson at one time or another. Oh, and the bathrooms at the Shoji theater are definitely not to be missed. The main hosts, Bill and Dee Holt, did a wonderful job keeping everyone happy and laughing.

It is obvious that Bruce and Louise put a lot of effort into organizing these events. There were very few problems and what did occur was extremely minor, quickly and easily resolved. Bill and Dee were great hosts, fostering camaraderie among the participants, always having a smile when it was needed. This was our first SKP event and, because of our experience, we will most likely attend future HOPs and an Escapade or two. (Joe and Susan Sewell #87644)

We had 18 states and one province represented, from Washington to Maryland, and South Dakota to Texas. More than two-thirds were attending their first Escapees function of any kind. They were all very impressed and interested in attending other HOP, and many now plan on attending an Escapade. We want to let everyone know what a wonderful group of SKPs we were fortunate to be with on the HOP, and we look forward to seeing many of you again soon. (Bill and Dee Holt #87012)
