Berlin-to-Prague River Cruise HOP

Discover the natural beauty of former East Germany’s dramatic landscape with a cruise down the Elbe River with Viking River Cruises onboard the Viking Schumann. Spend two nights in historic Berlin, tour the opulent palaces of Saxon monarchs, and stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens. Marvel at the baroque splendor of Dresden and see firsthand how Meissen porcelain is produced. Walk in the footsteps of Martin Luther in historic Wittenberg and learn about the Protestant Reformation. Cruise through the dramatic sandstone cliffs of Germany’s “Saxon Switzerland,” and conclude your trip with two nights in Prague, a fascinating historic gem.

Included in the cost of the cruise:

·        8-day/7-night cruise with river view, outside cabin onboard deluxe Viking Schumann

·        2-night stay in 4-star Berlin Vivaldi (or similar) with daily breakfasts

Itinerary

12 Days / 11 Nights – Berlin – Magdeburg to Melnik – Prague

A deposit of $400.00 per person is due at time of reservation, with the final payment due March 1, 2008. There is a $100.00 per person penalty if reservation is cancelled.  Reservations can be made by calling Dorothy Peterson of Peterson Travel Services at 800-737-6435, or by e-mail at Dorothy@petersoncruises.com.  Air prices are not included in the prices stated below. Air may also be reserved by calling Dorothy Peterson.

The average temperatures for the month of May are 45 – 65 degrees daytime.

RV Parking:

RV parking will be available at Magnolia RV Park in Livingston, TX for people flying out of Houston, TX.  Pricing will be $5.00 dry-camp and $10.00 for electric.  To register, please call the HOP department at 888-757-2582 or 936-327-8873 or e-mail hopinfo@escapees.com.

Social Hours:

There will be two social hours onboard the Viking Schuman.  They will be on June 2 and June 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  The location will be at the Observation Lounge.  Your hosts will be slipping a welcome letter under your hotel room door the first evening of the HOP that will give you the days and location of the social hours.

Pet Provisions:

The following businesses in Livingston have kennel boarding available.  You will need to call them to make arrangements for your pets.  The Escapees RV Club does not in any way endorse or recommend these services. We are just providing names and numbers for those who may need pet services.
