Niagara Falls Honeymoon HOP

September 9-15, 2009

Hosts: Lon and Carolyn VanOstran

Asst. Hosts: Larry and Marilyn Forbes

Welcome to the “Honeymoon Capital of the World”.  Some say Aaron Burr’s daughter, Theodosia started the Niagara Falls Honeymoon tradition in 1801 with her new husband; others attribute it to Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother Jerome, who honeymooned here in 1804.  Nevertheless, over 200 years later, over thousands of honeymooners choose a Niagara Falls getaway each year.

Sure most of us have had a honeymoon or two, but how many of us have had one at beautiful Niagara Falls?  What a wonderful location to take your spouse for another Honeymoon after all these years.  Some Escapees just may have celebrated their first honeymoon there and would love to re-enact it once more, while others have always wanted to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World for a second honeymoon.

Escapees have set up a six night, seven day fantastic HOP with super tours to see all the great sights that area has to offer with six catered breakfasts and three catered dinners plus more.  Read on for more information about this event.

Tours you will take are:

Roundabout Niagara Falls – 6-7 hours – You’ll head to Niagara Falls to visit Goat Island and Terrapin Point for a view of the Upper Niagara River Rapids and the American Falls from the brink. Then you are off to Niagara Reservation State Park and the Prospect Point Observation Tower where you will descend into the Niagara Gorge and board the Maid of the Mist for an unforgettable cruise to the base of the Horseshoe Falls. Then you will cross over to the Canadian side (Proof of U.S. Citizenship required) and head to lunch featuring a spectacular view of both Falls. Following lunch you will visit Table Rock, the Floral Clock, and the Whirlpools (time permitting) before returning to the fairgrounds.
