Pasadena Rose Parade HOP
December 28, 2010 - January 3, 2011
Hosts: Jim and Lisa Koca #86367
Co-hosts: Ed and Sandy Kruty #77117
The Tournament of Roses has come a long way since its early days. The Rose Parade’s elaborate floats now feature high-tech computerized animation and exotic natural materials from around the world. Although a few floats are still built exclusively by volunteers from their sponsoring communities, most are built by professional float-building companies and take nearly a year to construct. The year-long effort pays off on New Year’s morning when millions of viewers around the world enjoy the Rose Parade.
On Saturday, January 1, 2011, join millions of spectators from around the world as they celebrate the New Year by watching the 122nd Rose Parade, themed “Building Dreams, Friendships, and Memories.” The Rose Parade will, as always, feature the beautiful pageantry and tradition of magnificent floral floats, high-stepping equestrians, and spirited marching bands.
We have secured full-hookup camping at Valencia Travel Village, Rose Parade tickets, Bandfest tickets, Post Parade: Showcase of Floats, Float Decorating, and Equestfest tickets. You’re also in for a treat since another addition this year is a tour of the Crystal Cathedral, as well as a catered dinner by PJ’s Abbey Heavenly Catering right at the Crystal Cathedral. You’ll also enjoy the Crystal Cathedral - Glory of Christmas. This is going to be a great Escapees HOP and a wonderful time for all.

Are you interested in helping to decorate a float? You can assist in decorating a float on the first day, December 28. You will be assisting on a float for Festival Artist World Wide.
