The Calgary Stampede, which bills itself as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, is a large, nonprofit festival, exhibition, and rodeo held in Calgary, Alberta for 10 days starting the second week of every July. It is one of Canada's largest annual events and the world's largest outdoor rodeo. It features an internationally recognized rodeo competition, a midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuck wagon races, First Nations exhibitions, and pancake breakfasts around the city, among other attractions. In 2006, record-breaking attendance at the 10-day rodeo and exhibition totaled 1,262,518.

Come join fellow Escapees for the 2008 Calgary Stampede HOP. If you love the rodeo, then this is the event for you. We have 30 sites only at the Bow River's Edge Campground just 20 miles from Calgary. All 30 sites will have 30-amp full hookups. Come to the Gillette, WY Escapade over the 4th of July and have plenty of time to go to the Stampede. And, while you are in Canada, why not spend some time after the rodeo to enjoy some of the great scenery and attractions our northern neighbor has to offer?

Please remember to have your passport available to be able to get into and out of Canada.
