Washington, D.C. HOP
September 4-9, 2008
Hosts: Walt and Kellie Gunn #51287
Assistant Hosts: Bill and Carol Sharpe #57781
What draws most visitors to Washington, DC again and again is the vibrant, accessible, and world-class city, from inspiring monuments to monumental arts and culture. Washington, DC: the best of all worlds. You will love touring this great city. To some, Washington means white marble, verdant lawns, and the colorful, ritualistic pageantry of American politics: the Capitol dome gleaming against an azure sky; limousine processions on Inauguration Day; the mournful, somber, stately changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery. You will get to see all the amazing sights you only get to see on T.V. Join your fellow Escapees on this wonderful HOP to see our great capital in its entire splendor.
Escapees have secured full hook camping at Cherry Hill RV Park, tours of all the great attractions, meals, and much more for you to enjoy. Enjoy 5 days in Washington, DC with fellow Escapees. On Friday, your day begins with a continental breakfast before you’re whisked away by motorcoach for a day touring Washington, DC with a personal tour guide to the Capitol Building, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, lunch at the Union Court Food Court (lunch not included), White House (picture stop), Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and Washington National Cathedral.
Saturday, enjoy a full day at the Smithsonian museums. Transportation is provided via motorcoach. Sunday, take a day to catch your breath, enjoy all that Cherry Hill has to offer, and, if you’re up to it, do some touring on your own. Monday will be another exciting day of touring by motorcoach with a personal tour guide to Arlington Cemetery, Marine Corps Memorial, Air Force Memorial (time permitting), and lunch at the Pentagon City Food Court (lunch not included), Mount Vernon, and drive through Old Town Alexandria.
If you want to come in early or stay later, you can call Cherry Hill at 800-801-6449 for reservations and tell them you are with the Escapees. The RV park also has dog walking services that you can inquire about by calling Cherry Hill directly at 800-801-6449.
