Things to Do in Our Area
Plan to attend Rainbow Plantation's many scheduled activities along with the annual "Mardi Gras" celebration in February each year. Rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds, as well as the Gulf of Mexico, make fishing a big area attraction, so be sure to pick up an Alabama fishing license.
There are several golf courses, including one designed by Arnold Palmer. The libraries are well-stocked, and musical opportunities range from bluegrass to symphonies. The Whiting Art Center has classes, and there are many festivals, fairs, and celebrations throughout the year.
