Things to Do in Our Area

Pecos has a WalMart, two groceries, and a modern hospital. Fuel is available at the Flying-J fuel stop at exit 42 in Pecos. You will enjoy the local restaurants with ample selections, from Mexican food to traditional American fare.

There are interesting sights to see with side trips to the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Midland, Fort Davis National Historic Site (a Confederate War-era army post located in the beautiful Davis Mountains), and the University of Texas McDonald Observatory at Fort Davis, TX. There are daily tours of the observatory and a Friday star party. Once monthly, the observatory has a night session where the public may look through the 109" optical telescope.

Plan your route to visit Big Bend National Park, and also stop at The Ranch SKP Co-Op and see Carlsbad Caverns.
