"TRAVEL LOVING CATHOLICS" (T.L.C.-BOF) is a Catholic (RV-Traveling) community sharing faith, friendship, and fun.
Purpose: Facilitate spiritual growth while traveling.
Focus: Increase comprehension and appreciation of Catholic church teachings, history and culture through shared activities and resources.
We also welcome those, at our gatherings, who wish to acquaint themselves with us in finding out more of the Catholic faith we all share.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
THE KINDNESS OF GOD THE FATHER IS SURPASSING TO THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM. WITH HEARTS FULL OF TRUST, WE PLACE OUR INTENTIONS BEFORE HIM:
FOR THE BISHOPS OF THE CHURCH: that they will live with courage and resoluteness their vocation as apostles.
THAT THE AUTHORITY WHICH THE 'FATHER' GAVE JESUS OVER ALL PEOPLE WILL BEAR FRUIT IN TRUE AND LASTING PEACE IN THE WORLD.
FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING STRESS, TURMOIL, OR DOUBT: that they will see the good things of the Lord in their concrete circumstances.
FOR CHRISTIANS IN THE WORLD: strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit may they build a world of peace and justice. (Holy Father's General Intention)

THE NOVENA TO "THE DIVINE MERCY"
On Good Friday, 1937, Jesus requested that Blessed Faustina make a special novena before the Feast of Mercy. from Good Friday through the following Saturday. He Himself, dictated the intentions for each day. By means of a specific prayer she was to bring to His Heart a different group of souls each day and thus immerse them in the ocean of His mercy, begging the Father -- on the strength of Jesus' Passion -- for graces for them.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. Loving God,
You called the first disciples to follow You,
Making them fishers of men.
We implore You, raise up priests, deacons,
religious and consecrated lay people to draw
the peoples of the world to Your loving arms.
Send workers into Your fields that mankind
may not be lost for lack of people dedicated
to the cause of the Gospel.
We entrust to You all of our Escapees RV Club
Travel Loving Catholics BOF community;
create in it a spiritual atmosphere that it may be
a cenacle of prayer where we lovingly receive
the Holy Spirit and His gifts.
Direct Your loving gaze to our young people,
invite them to follow You. Help them understand
that only in You can they achieve their fulfillment.

_________________________________________________________________________ BOF OfficersI wish to share with you that I am an "Oblate of St. Benedict" (Obl.SB) associated with the "Monastery of the Risen Christ" located in San Luis Obispo, CA. In sharing the Benedictine philosophy an "Oblate" may be a baptized member of any Christian faith denomination other than being a Roman Catholic. There are both men and women Oblates.
Oblates are women or men who associate themselves to a Benedictine Monastery to deepen their relationship with God and to serve the people of God in their individual setting or travels. Oblates are not Sisters or Brothers, and therefore can be married and have children. As already mentioned, they can also be Christians of other faiths other than Roman Catholic.
Women and men who are interested in becoming an Oblate go through a formation process. They first become an Oblate candidate for a period of (approximately) one year. During their first year of candidacy they are mentored by another Oblate or a Benedictine at the local Monastery. Following their candidacy, there is (normally) a one year Benedictine Formation period to learn of St. Benedict's Holy Rule, Personal Prayer and Spirituality. When Oblate candidates have discerned their readiness to commit to the Oblate way of life, they write to the Monastery and ask to make their final commitment. When accepted by the Monastery, the Candidate (in a special ceremony) would be received as an Oblate of Saint Benedict.
Oblates serve as a link between their monastic community, their parishes and other Christian groups. They also serve to educate the public about Benedictine spirituality and the benefits of the Benedictine way of life. They also keep in touch with other Benedictines through meetings and travels.
