VolunteeringSince 1978, Escapees RV Club has lived by its motto, "sharing and caring." This principle continues to be the compass that points us in the right direction. But it is our volunteers who really breathe life into this ongoing mission. To quote George Bush, "We all have something to give. So, if you can read, find someone who can't. If you've got a hammer, find a nail. If you're not hungry, not lonely, not in trouble-seek out someone who is." We believe these are words to live by.

Organizations Volunteers On Wheels (VOW)
Four RVing women writers, Stephanie Bernhagen, Jaimie Hall, Hope Sykes and Shelley Zoellick, have joined together in an effort to educate the public on how RVers volunteer as they travel and to make RVers aware of volunteer opportunities. These women have named their group Volunteers On Wheels (VOW). Their motto is "Making a difference in communities across the nation." You can read about others volunteer adventures and find volunteer opportunities for yourself at these VOW websites:

State Park Volunteering
View our listing of contact information for volunteering at the different state parks. For each system of state parks, the address, phone and contact for volunteer programs are listed. If a specific website or volunteer coordinator could not be identified, general information is listed instead. You can always contact an individual state park to find out how to apply as a campground host or find out their needs for volunteers for other tasks. Seasonal employment information is listed where a link was found.

Workamper News
If you are looking for ways to supplement your income as you travel or you are simply interested in serving as hosts in exchange for an RV site, Workamper News is a valuable resource.
Greg and Debbie Robus started Workamper News in 1987. Greg says their goal was simple, " To help great people find great jobs in great places."
They have since found some 60,000 jobs for RVers. Their bimonthly publication and website offer job opportunities for RVers who want to work as they travel.
