May 27 - June 1

Location: Moab, Utah

If you love outdoor adventure, then this HOP is for you!

During the HOP, we can attend the Dinosaur Tracks Museum, with its interactive technology and exhibits illustrating the formation of tracks and the stories those can tell us! We can also see a movie depicting evolutionary theories, taking us back to the time of dinosaurs.

At the Prehistoric Aquarium, we’ll explore the ancient sea creatures on 3D virtual screens, seeming as if we’re there in person. Be prepared to come face to face with an ancient giant shark. This realistic 5D experience is sure to be one of our favorites!

Here, we put the finishing touch on a perfect week with a historic and entertaining ride down the Colorado River. For some, it may even be the best highlight of the HOP!

We will start the evening with a cowboy-style Dutch oven dinner, overlooking the Colorado River, then take a leisurely cruise up the river, on a wide-open flat-bottomed boat, complete with a knowledgeable and entertaining guide to tell us about the formations of the majestic red rock cliffs that will be all around us.

Toward the closing of the day, excitement heightens as the setting sun illuminates the colors and formations of the canyon walls. Shadows and music, brings to life the narrative stories of the canyon’s formation and history, handed down from early settlers of the area, many of whom were Catholic conquistadors, Native Americans and Mormon pioneers.
