Escape the Chill - Find Your Thrill at Winter Blast!
Get ready for an adventure next Valentine’s and President’s Day Weekend! This Hangout will take place during the 37th Annual Western Winter Blast in Lake Havasu City, where we'll dry camp at the Lake Havasu Rodeo Grounds, so you can enjoy views of spectacular fireworks right from your RV! This six-night Hangout embraces a pyrotechnics extravaganza as well as several outdoor activities in the Lake Havasu City area. We'll challenge you to a scavenger hunt, a walking tour of the iconic London Bridge, and a scenic paddle-wheeler cruise around Thompson Bay Island.
NOTE: ALL SITES ARE DRY CAMPING at the Rodeo Grounds.

What to Expect at a Hangout
Is this event right for me?
Every Escapees RV Club member is welcome at all events, and every activity is optional. This Hangout is best suited for members who:
🚶
Enjoy actively exploring in groups
🤙
Can participate in activities all day, weekdays and weekends
🚐
Are comfortable and equipped for 6 nights of dry camping
🛵
Have your own transportation, if carpooling cannot be arranged
🐶
Pet Owners
The organizers of Winter Blast strongly discourage campers from bringing dogs to the event because of the continuous loud noises associated with the nearby fireworks displays. In fact, Dylan's Dog Park inside SARA Park is named after a dog that died during a fireworks show. For this reason, you may wish to consider boarding your dog during the Winter Blast Hangout.
⚠️
Pet Warnings
If you do choose to bring your dog, the Rodeo Grounds has the following rules: #Dogs must never be left unattended. #Dogs must always be on a leash when outside your RV. #Dogs may not be brought to the grandstands or food court area. #No dog waste to be left anywhere other than in a trash receptacle.
If this event isn't right for you, consider another Hangout or perhaps an Xscapers Convergence, which are designed around working-age RVers with most activities in the evenings and weekends. For a more all-inclusive experience, consider one of our HOPs.
