Question 1

How do full-time RVers establish domicile in Florida?

Accepted Answer

Establishing Florida domicile involves five main steps: securing a mailing address, establishing professional and social connections in your chosen county, preparing your driver's license, vehicle registration, and voter registration paperwork, creating an official record of intent to domicile, and visiting Florida to complete the necessary requirements. It’s also valuable to build relationships with local professionals and update important documents to reflect your new domicile.

Can I use Escapees Mail Service to establish Florida domicile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Escapees Mail Service members who sign up for mail service in Florida will be given a mailing address in Sumter County, Florida that they can use for their legal documents. However, obtaining a Florida mailing address is just one step towards establishing domicile.

Question 3

What documents do I need to register my RV and get a Florida driver's license?
