INSTANT-OFF

Here’s a neat little gadget to help you conserve water in your RV

This inexpensive device replaces the aerator on any faucet and automatically shuts off the water when it’s not needed. To start the flow of water, you simply move the little lever, and water flows until you release it. This is great when you are dry-camping and every drop of water counts. According to the manufacturer, it will “save 10,000 to 50,000 gallons of water per year, depending on where it is installed. INSTANT-OFF eliminates wasted water while brushing teeth, shaving and washing dishes. INSTANT-OFF is perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, RV campers and boats.”

Now, I don’t know that it will save you 10,000 gallons of water, but it will definitely help you conserve the water in your fresh-water tank. INSTANT-OFF can also be used to stop a drippy faucet until you can fix the source of the leak. I have heard of folks using them as an automatic pet waterer as well. Once Fido learns to use it, it will provide a source of clean, fresh water without the need for a bowl. All-in-all, a useful gadget that isn’t hard on your pocketbook. Available online at the usual places, just search for INSTANT-OFF water saver and you’ll find one.
