If you don’t have a tire pressure monitoring system, you might want to consider getting one for your travels. Tires should be inflated to the correct inflation pressure in order to receive proper performance. Under-inflated tires will cause the heat to build up in a tire, which can lead to tire damage or a rapid air loss, a.k.a., a blowout. Checking your tires with a tire gauge in the morning before you travel is a good idea, but I personally am tired of getting on my hands and knees to check the tire pressure.

Enter the tire pressure monitoring systems. Now a driver will be able to monitor the tire pressure on the RV and other vehicles that have the sensors installed. Systems will come with tire sensors, batteries, an anti-theft device and the monitor that will mount in the cab of your vehicle. For best performance, the batteries should be replaced every year. If the monitor senses a problem with a tire, there will be an audible and visual signal to alert you.
